1	Close liftgate, engine hood and doors	Vehicles with code (494) USA version
2	Turn transmitter key in electronic ignition switch (EIS) control unit to position “1”
3	Press system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until basic display “kilometer reading or temperature display” appears in multifunction display (A1p13)
4	Briefly press trip odometer reset button (A1s3) 3 times.	An acoustic signal can be heard and the voltage is shown in the multifunction display (A1p13).
5	Press scroll forward/back button (S110s1)	The “Service menu” appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
6	Press buttons + and –, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1) repeatedly and select “Confirmation” menu item
7	Press system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.	“Confirmation” appears in the multifunction display (A1p13) and the menu item “Complete service” is highlighted.
8	Press system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.	“Service confirmed” appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
9	Press system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the “service menu” is displayed in the multifunction display (A1p13)
10	Using the + and – buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1) select the menu item “Special work”
11	Press system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.
12	Using the + and – buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1), select menu item “Service 3”
13	Press system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.
14	Select the engine oil grade used by pressing the + and – buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1).	Vehicles with spark ignition engine and oil selection. To achieve the maximum service interval, engine oil which complies with Specifications for Operating Fluids, Sheet 229.5 must be used and confirmed.
15	Press system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.	The message “Position confirmed” appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
16	Press system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until basic display “kilometer reading or temperature display” appears in multifunction display (A1p13)
17	Turn transmitter key in electronic ignition switch (EZS) control unit to position “0”
