1	Close trunk lid, engine hood and doors	Vehicles with code (494) USA version
2	Turn transmitter key in electronic ignition switch (EIS) control unit to position “1”
3	Press system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the basic display (mileage or temperature display) is shown in the top of the multifunction display (A1p13)
4	Briefly press trip odometer reset button (A1s3) 3 times.	An acoustic signal can be heard and the voltage is shown in the top of the multifunction display (A1p13).
5	Press lower scroll forward/back button (S110s1)	The “Service menu” appears in the top multifunction display (A1p13).
6	Press buttons + and – , setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1) repeatedly and select “Confirmation” menu item
7	Press lower system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.	“Confirmation” appears in the top of the multifunction display (A1p13) and the menu item “Complete service” is highlighted.
8	Press lower system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.	“Service confirmed” appears in the top of the multifunction display (A1p13).
9	Press the top system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the “Service menu” is shown in the top of the multifunction display (A1p13)
10	Using the + and – buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1) select the menu item “Special work”
11	Press lower system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.
12	Using the + and – buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1), select menu item “Service 3”
13	Press lower system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.
14	Select the engine oil grade used by pressing the + and – buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1).	To achieve the maximum service interval, engine oil which complies with Specifications for Operating Fluids, Sheet 229.5 must be used and confirmed.
15	Press lower system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.	“Position confirmed” appears in the top of the multifunction display (A1p13).
16	Press the system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the basic display (kilometer reading or temperature display) appears in the top of the multifunction display (A1p13)
17	Turn transmitter key in electronic ignition switch (EZS) control unit to position “0”
