All affected VINs will be flagged as “OPEN” in VMI. Background Issue Mercedes-Benz AG(MBAG) has determined that certain Sprinter vehicles may have received the incorrect coolant type, and also possibly the incorrect coolant mixing ratio. As a result, it is possible that the coolant may turn brown when refilled with the correct coolant. Approximately 5 Sprinter vehicles are affected. Mercedes-Benz AG(MBAG) has determined that some vehicles have received coolant G48 instead of G40 and also possibly incorrect mixing ratio. It is possible that the coolant may turn brown when refilling with G40. As a precautionary measure, an Mercedes-Benz dealer will replace the coolant on the affected vehicles.
