Background
Issue
Mercedes-Benz AG (“MBAG”), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2021 GT (190 platform) vehicles, the front diffuser may not meet current production specifications.
What We’re Doing
MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership will check the front diffuser attachment point seals and replace or repair as necessary. Parts The remedy is available and can be performed as necessary.

Check Front Diffuser Attachment Point Seal
Mercedes-Benz AG (“MBAG”), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2021 GT (190 platform) vehicles, the front diffuser may not meet current production specifications. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership will check the front diffuser attachment point seals and replace or repair as necessary.
Prior to performing this Campaign:
VMI must be checked before performing campaigns to verify that the campaign is required ona specific vehicle. Always check for any other open campaigns, and perform accordingly.
Please review the entire Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly asdescribed.

Work procedure A
1. Replace front diffuser.
For basic data, see AR61.20-P-1105RG.
Work procedure B
1. Clean all 5 attachment points (Figure 2) of the front diffuser with isopropanol and let dry (Figure 6).

2. Fill all 5 attachment points around the decoupling disc with a bead of Teroson (Figures 7 and 8).

3. Spread/pull off the Teroson bead to the surface of the decoupling disk (Figure 9).
The Teroson bead must not protrude more than 1.5 mm beyond the disk.
Ensure that there is no Teroson on the screw-mounting surface; clean if necessary.
Let Teroson harden as per specifications.

4. Reinstall front diffuser.

Work procedure C
1. Clean the marked attachment points (16 points, Figure 10) of the front diffuser with isopropanol and allow to dry completely (Figure 11).

2. Center and attach a self-adhesive aramid pad to all 16 attachment points; ensure adhesion by pressing down and all around the aramid pad using your thumb (Figure 12&13).

This is to notify you of a Service Campaign Update to check the front diffuser on 379 Model Year (“MY”) 2021 GT Black Series (190 platform) vehicles. The vehicles are visible and were flagged in VMI as “OPEN” on April 28, 2023.
The campaign was deactivated on July 18, 2023 and will be reactivated once revised work instructions are issued.

What We’re Doing
The campaign has been deactivated pending new work instructions. Approximate re-launch timeline is mid-August 2023. Once new work instructions are issued, the campaign will be reactivated and the field will be informed accordingly.
Claims for repairs:
RO open dates on or prior to July 20, 2023 will be accepted. If any errors occur, please open a Warranty OneTrac case for issue resolution. Parts Remedy is not available.

Modification notes:
• Creation of TIPS case mandatory in case of parts replacement!
• No front diffuser upper part may be replaced without the relevant approval via a TIPS case!
• Please address TIPS cases with informative images directly to the Product Support AMG / AMG Aftersales Regulation TEV/OPT.
• OK and not OK assessment images included for establishment of findings. • Tightening torque entered for fillister head screws at front diffuser.
• Parts table expanded and updated.
• Code M032 corresponds to the BLACK SERIES VERSION.
