Defective Weld Between The Clutch Disk And Hub

SUMMARY:

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling one 2016 CLA45 AMG vehicle manufactured November 10, 2015.

This vehicle is equipped with a dual clutch transmission that may have a defective weld between the dual clutch disk and hub.

This weld may crack and result in a loss of power to the wheels, causing the vehicle to stop.

CONSEQUENCE:

A sudden loss of power can increase the risk of a crash.

REMEDY:

MBUSA will notify the owner, and a dealers will replace the dual clutch, free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin in June 2016.
