1	Close front-end flap, doors and liftgate
	Read out maintenance data
2	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position “1” (circuit 15R)	There must be no fault messages in the multifunction display (1).
3	Press Scroll forward button (3) repeatedly until standard display “Trip distance/total distance” appears in multifunction display (1)	Kilometer or mileage reading must be noted in the reception report.
4	Use Scroll forward button (3) to select “Messages and service” menu page on multifunction display (1)	The number of wrench symbols that appear on the multifunction display (1) indicates the service which is due: One wrench symbol for service A, 2 wrench symbols for service B. Service A or B must be noted in the reception report.
	Reset service indicator
5	Press and hold OK button (2) until wrench symbol flashes on “Messages and service” menu page on multifunction display (1) and then keep depressed for another 20 s	If the OK button (2) is held down for another 20 s after the wrench symbol starts to flash on the multifunction display (1), the service interval indicator is reset and country- specific intervals are displayed.
