- Remove top center rear spoiler.
For basic data, see AR72.20-P-4000WT.
- Check outer top right of rear-end door for constriction and crack formation (Figure 1).
a. No crack or sheet metal constriction present on outer right of rear-end door: End measure.
b. Crack or sheet metal constriction present on outer right of rear-end door: Carry out work procedure.
Work procedure
- Remove side spoiler on right rear-end door.
For basic data, see AR72.20-P-4000WT. The right side spoiler must be replaced.
- Drill off crack/sheet metal constriction on outer right of rear-end door at ends using a 2–3 mm drill bit.
- Clean rear-end door in processed area, apply anticorrosion protection, and rework/seal the crack with seam sealant.
Ensure cavity preservation according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Assemble in reverse order.
