This is to notify you of the Service Campaign Launch to install a new coolant line in 467 Model Year (“MY”) 2020-2021 CLA-Class and GLA-Class (118 and 247 platform) vehicles. The vehicles will be visible and flagged in VMI as “OPEN” on July 22, 2022.

AG (“MBAG”), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz
vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2020-2021 CLA-Class and GLA-Class (118 and 247 platform) vehicles, the engine coolant line may leak due to high pressure within the engine coolant system.
What We’re Doing
MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz
dealer will replace the corresponding coolant line on the affected vehicles.

The remedy is available and can be performed as necessary.
Install new coolant line
Work Procedure
- Drain coolant.
For basic data, see AR20.00-P-1142MFG.
- Remove front part of front left fender liner.
For basic data, see AR88.10-P-1301MFA.
- Release and remove coolant line (A, Figure 1) at switchover valve and open retaining clip (B, Figure 1) of coolant line.
- Remove air filter housing.
For basic data, see AR09.10-P-1150MFG.
- Remove battery.
For basic data, see AR54.10-P-0005MFA.
- Remove battery carrier
For basic data, see AR54.10-P-0028MFA.
- Release retaining clamp (C, Figure 2) on transmission, release coolant line (D, Figure 2) and remove.
- Assemble with new coolant line in reverse order.
