The vehicles will be visible and flagged in VMI as “OPEN” on July 22, 2022. Background Issue Mercedes-Benz AG (“MBAG”), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2020-2021 CLA-Class and GLA-Class (118 and 247 platform) vehicles, the engine coolant line may leak due to high pressure within the engine coolant system. What We’re Doing MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will replace the corresponding coolant line on the affected vehicles. Parts The remedy is available and can be performed as necessary. Campaign No. 2022060006, July 2022 TO: ALL MERCEDES-BENZ CENTERS SUBJECT: Model CLA-Class and GLA-Class (118 and 247 platform) Model Year 2020-2021 Install New Coolant Line Mercedes-Benz AG (“MBAG”), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2020-2021 CLA-Class and GLA-Class (118 and 247 platform) vehicles, the engine coolant line may leak due to high pressure within the engine coolant system. Drain coolant. For basic data, see AR20.00-P-1142MFG. 2. Remove front part of front left fender liner. For basic data, see AR88.10-P-1301MFA. 3. Release and remove coolant line (A, Figure 1) at switchover valve and open retaining clip (B, Figure 1) of coolant line. Figure 1 4. Remove air filter housing. For basic data, see AR09.10-P-1150MFG. 5. Remove battery. For basic data, see AR54.10-P-0005MFA. 6. Remove battery carrier For basic data, see AR54.10-P-0028MFA. 3 P-SC-2022060006 7.
