Background Issue Mercedes-Benz AG (“MBAG”), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain Model Year (“MY”) 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series (190 platform) vehicles, the length of the wiring harness for the front wheel speed sensors might not meet current production specifications. In certain driving maneuvers such as maximum steering input or full compression/extension of the suspension, damage to the wheel speed sensor wiring harness could occur due to tensile loading. In this case, vehicle dynamic control system functions might be impaired, which could increase the risk of a crash. What We’re Doing MBUSA will conduct a voluntary recall. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will replace the wiring harness for the front wheel speed sensors on the affected vehicles. Parts The remedy is available and can be performed.
