Replace TIREFIT Bottle in Trunk
This is to notify you of the Service Campaign Launch to replace the TIREFIT bottle in the trunk in 16,303 Model Year (“MY”) 2023-2024 C-Class, CLE, E-Class, EQE, EQS, GLC, GLE, GLS, GT, S-Class, and SL vehicles (205, 206, 236, 213, 214, 238, 294, 295, 296, 297, 253, 167, 290, 223, 232 platform). The vehicles will be visible and flagged in VMI as “OPEN” on May 10, 2024.
Issue
Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2023-2024 C-Class, CLE, E-Class, EQE, EQS, GLC, GLE, GLS, GT, S-Class, and SL vehicles (205, 206, 236, 213, 214, 238, 294, 295, 296, 297, 253, 167, 290, 223, 232 platform), the tire sealant bottle may not meet specifications. The possibility exists that the tire sealant bottle may leak within the installation location.
What We’re Doing
MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will replace the TIREFIT bottle in the trunk.
Parts
The remedy is available and can be performed as necessary.

Work Procedure
- Replace the tire sealant bottle (TIREFIT) in the vehicle.
The old tire sealant bottle (TIREFIT) must no longer be used and must be disposed of.
The filling hose of the old tire sealant bottle is reused.
If the old tire sealant bottle has leaked, clean the soiled areas, and replace the required component parts that cannot be cleaned.
